We don't claim to be the fanciest place in town but we believe in amazing food, fun specialty drinks, and great entertainment!

We value our guests and believe in goodwill and hospitality. AJ's Oldtown Steakhouse & Tavern is located in the heart of Old Town, offers a casual, friendly atmosphere and is known locally as the "Historic Waterfront."

Which Cut is your Favorite

At AJ's we are proud to carry the highest quality of USDA Prime Beef Grades
available.
USDA Prime Beef is designated the top 2% of Beef produced in the US. This beef is
rich in marbling, aged to provide flavor and grilled to your requested temperature.

Ribeye

A local favorite,this cutcontains incredible marbling (lots of fat) that provides the perfect flavor and texture combination for Ribeye lovers.

New York Strip

This classic strip steak is hand - trimmed and nicely marbled, with robust flavors and a definite grain that's tender but pleasingly firm to bite. 

Top Sirloin

The top sirloin steak features some excellent flavors that you won't find in other steaks. We sous vide this cut making it just as tender as the filet mignon but more affordable.

Filet Mignon

A popular steak cut from the tenderloin, extremely tender! This cut has very little marbling.

Prime Rib
(Friday & Saturday Night Special)

Our USDA Certified Prime Rib and our prime ribeye steaks are cut from the same area. However, the Prime Rib has a cap of heavily marbled meat that is rich and flavorful. The juices from this fat add additional flavor as it is slow cooked making it a local favorite.

An old school steakhouse. It's hard to find good dining in Alaska. At the end of our 2 week trip finally found what we were hoping for in Homer. Steaks were perfect, as was the seafood. Great atmosphere and service.
